Slow Mornings / Tai chi
Feel the heartbeat of historyDuring Gaasbeek Castle's Slow Mornings, it's all about rest and relaxation for the body and mind. A Tai Chi lesson is the perfect way to gently wake up and start your day in tranquillity. Tai Chi or Taijiquan is more than just a martial art; it is a way of life and philosophy centred on controlling the body and breath. Through fluid, gentle movements, deep and relaxed breathing and mental concentration, you learn to accept silence and listen to your body.
From 5 July to 23 August, you can join a Tai Chi class every Friday from 10.30 to 11.45am at Gaasbeek Castle, guided by an experienced instructor from Martial Arts Club BRC Halle. Classes take place amidsts the Cast Collection or - weather permitting - outside in the park. These classes are open to all levels and ages: everyone is welcome!
After the class, hand in your wristband for a lovely cup of coffee or tea at Caffè Carletto. If you would like to visit the castle after the Tai Chi class, you must purchase a separate ticket. You can do that online or at the Entrance Building, at the park entrance.
The classes will be in Dutch.
